It marked the rise and capitalization of Agra . During the rule of Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan , the city reached its peak in not only arts and architecture but also cultural achievements.
The majestic “Pink City”
On your way to Jaipur the Pink City, see the royal beauty of Rajasthan. See the beautiful architecture of Amber Fort, The scientific Jantar Mantar, the City Palace, and Hawa Mahal. In the evening experience traditional Rajasthani folk dances, local food, and colorful markets full of jewelry, textiles, and crafts.
Jaipur means “The city of victory” and is the capital of Rajasthan. Founded in 1727 AD; Jaipur is named after its founder Sawai Jai Singh II.
One of the reasons Jai Singh had behind moving from earlier capital Amer and founding Jaipur was the increasing population and scarcity of water. Although it was the main reason, additionally the diminishing power of the Mughals, along with the wealth of the kingdom encouraged Jai Singh to plan his new capital in Jaipur.
On three sides, Jaipur is surrounded by hills, with the three forts Nahargarh, Jaigarh and Amer serving at the backdrop. Especially these forts, along with various parks, gardens, lakes, etc. provide tourists with an unforgettable experience.
