Experience the stark beauty of the desert landscape as you travel from Hunder to the mesmerizing blue waters of Pangong Tso, a lake that stretches into Tibet. Further experience the adventure with a journey from Pangong Tso to Tso Moriri, another stunning high-altitude lake known for its serene beauty and birdlife.
Then return to Leh, allowing for reflection on the vastness and tranquility of Ladakh’s landscapes. Finally bid farewell to this enchanting region as you depart from Leh, carrying memories of its rugged terrain and spiritual charm with you.
Day 1: Arrival at Leh and acclimatization
● Fly in to Leh Airport (11,400 ft,) by 10 A.M. Enjoy the majestic
Himalayan views as you land at one of the highest airports in the world
● Get ready to embrace the drop in temperature the moment you land.
● Collect your bags and we’ll bring you to the hotel. Airport pickup is
included.
● Take rest today as you need to acclimatize on the first day. Stay indoors
as much as possible and do not over-exert yourself. Drink loads of fluids
to help you with acclimatization and avoid altitude sickness.
● Prepare yourself for the upcoming adventures!
● Overnight stay in Leh
DAY 02: Leh local sightseeing
● Today we spend the day exploring the vibrant capital of Ladakh, Leh, a
powerhouse of beauty and culture.
● We’ll taste the lip-smacking local cuisine and roam around the city a bit
to get acclimatized to the weather and the high altitude.
● We will go on a drive on the Srinagar-Leh highway where you can
seek the blessing of Guru Nanak Dev at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib,
witness the illusion of the Magnetic Hill, and see the Sangam - the
confluence of Indus and Zanskar.
● Visit the Hall of Fame, a museum on the Leh-Kargil road, constructed
by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid
down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars.
● The second half of the day we’ll visit some more fascinating places,
including, Spituk Monastery, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa.
● We’ll end the day visiting the local market of Leh. Shop till you drop
because you’re gonna need all the layers of warm clothes for the
upcoming days.

DAY 03: Shey / Leh to Hundar via Khardung la pass (125 kms, 6 hrs)
● Post breakfast we start our journey to Nubra Valley.
● We’ll stop at Khardungla Pass, which is amongst the world's highest
motorable roads at 17,582 feet above sea level. Gateway to the remote
Nubra and Shyok valleys, the snowcapped mountain views at the
Khardungla Pass will blow your mind.
● By afternoon, we’ll arrive in the village of Hunder, an oasis amidst the
cold desert of the Nubra Valley. Fun fact: Hunder lies on the ancient Silk
Route, which was once an extremely important international trade route.
● Later we explore the Diskit Monastery which dates back to the 14th
Century and is one of the largest Buddhist Monasteries.
● Enjoy adventure activities like Double Humpback Camel Safari (which
are exclusively found in this area )and ATV Ride on the sand dunes.
● Overnight stay at our homestay/ hotel in Hunder/Diskit.
DAY 04: Hunder / Diskit to Pangong Tso (165 kms, 6 hrs)
● Today we start early for the most awaited part of the trip, the beautiful
Pangong Lake, a high-altitude alpine lake at 14,270 ft above sea level.
Fun fact: Pangong is one of the highest salt-water lakes in the world
and it lies at the Indo-China border.
● The road from Hunder to Pangong Tso (Tso means Lake in Tibetan)
takes about 6 hours and goes alongside the beautiful River Shyok till
Shyok village. Full ZNMD roadtrip feels!
● You can also recreate some of the moments from your favourite
Bollywood movies like 3-idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan and enjoy the
place in Bollywood style. In fact, there’s a 3 Idiots Point where the
famous yellow scooter from the movie's climax is stationed.
● Wildlife enthusiasts, watch out for the bar-headed goose and Brahminy
Ducks that are commonly spotted at Pangong in the summers.
● Overnight stay at Pangong tent/camp.
DAY 05: Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri (366 Kms, 10 hrs)
● Wake up in the morning to the beautiful Pangong Lake view. Enjoy your
breakfast, while soaking in the lake views.
● Then we’ll embark on the journey from Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri
which will take you through some very scenic landscapes.
● The route runs along the shoreline of Pangong Tso lake and then goes
deep towards Tsaga La Pass, further to Loma - Nyoma, and meets at
Mahe Bridge. Get ready to fill your gallery with lots of pictures of these
stunning locations.
● Arrive at Tso Moriri and fall in love with its changing hues of a myriad
shades of blue!
● Enjoy a delicious dinner around the bonfire under the open sky. A
memorable night of stargazing!
● Overnight stay at a campsite near Tso Moriri lake.
DAY 06: Tso Moriri to Leh (222 Kms, 6 Hrs)
● After a delicious breakfast at Tso Moriri, it’s time to head back to the city
of Leh.
● We’ll pass through some majestic landscapes of ever-changing barren
mountains that will make you fall in love with Ladakh all over again!
● Witness the incredible phenomenon of Chumtang Hot Springs along
the way.
● Drive along the mighty Indus River to finally reach Leh. Stopover at
some traditional attractions en route.
● Overnight stay in hotel in Leh.
DAY 07: Departure from Leh
● It's time to say goodbye to your fellow travelers and this magical land.
● After a hearty breakfast at our stay, we will drop you off at the Leh
airport.
● Fly out of Leh with loads of memory!
